Overview

Testing That Keeps You Compliant

The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 require electrical systems to be maintained so they are safe, and a current Electrical Installation Condition Report is the recognised way to show it. Insurers, landlords and principal contractors increasingly ask to see one.

We inspect and test commercial and industrial installations of every size, from single offices to multi site operations, and explain the results in plain English so you know exactly what needs doing and why.

Frequently Asked Questions

Got Questions?

How often does a commercial building need an EICR?

Industry guidance recommends a maximum of 5 years for most commercial premises, such as offices and shops, and 3 years for industrial sites. The inspector should recommend your next date based on the condition of the installation.

Will testing disrupt our business?

Some tests need circuits to be switched off, so we plan the work with you and can test in sections, outside working hours or at weekends.

What happens if the report is unsatisfactory?

We explain each observation and provide an itemised quotation for the remedial work. Once it is complete, we can confirm the installation is satisfactory.

Can you test several sites?

Yes. We test sites across Yorkshire and the UK and can schedule a whole portfolio around one set of dates.
